My laser printer Xerox docuprint p1210 work correctly on XP SP3 platform, and its don't need any driver on XP SP3 System. Polo Plug and play, just connect printer and print( that on Xp SP3 System). Recently, I installed Windows 7 Professional and to my dismay the old driver does not work under Windows 7. There is little chance that a driver will be written for it because Xerox itself has announced that since the printer is so old it will no longer continue to support it. I tried installing Windows XP in a virtual machine from Windows 7 and installing the old printer driver there, but it doesn't work. Is there someone smart enough in this forum to figure out a way for me to continue using the old printer. My last ditch option is to build an old machine, install XP in it, connect the printer to it and try to set it up as a network printer server so I can use it from the Windows 7 machine.
